For those of you that have been in the shop, you might have seen my pelican painting (not pictured). Well, we acquired the painting from the Bogan Gallery a few months back. It's gotten so much attention that we are now showing a few more paintings by the same artist Susan Spjut.
Susan helped clean up the Gulf after the BP oil spill last summer. She was so inspired by Galveston and the bird life here that she painted this series.
Starting with a layer of newspaper with articles about the oil spill, she uses oil paints and oil from the actual spill to paint these beautiful birds. We are so lucky to have these great paintings in our shop.
Your design is gorgeous and really attractive. Can 't wait to do same work at my home, but have 't single idea how to start. It will be best if you share step by step guide of it.
