I feel bad that I haven't posted anything since before the holidays. It's been a long month with so many things to get done and people to see. I'm off to England and France in a few days, I'll make sure
to post pictures. But right now we've been busy in the studio.
What to do with vintage fabric of a hunter?
Why turn him into a deer head pillow of course! I've been working with floras for so long that I have completely forgotten about fauna. I made this gigantic pillow out of vintage fabric.
I'm still stitching away a center block for a new quilt. The background of the block is from Fancy Hill Farm, the pink for Lovely is Somerset Cottage, and the stag is out of my new Holiday line Bowood. The ribbon is from my collection of vintage hand-dyed silk ribbon. As soon as the quilt is finished we'll have the pattern and a kit for sale online and in the store.
Light, soft, and perfect for winter in Galveston, these scarves are made out if European linen and embellished with different trims and ribbons.
We are selling these completed and we'll have some put together in kits for simple projects for those who love to sew themselves. I knew there was a reason I've collected different trims for so long!
